Making a Piñata

After attending a Piñata Festival with a friend of mine she asked if I could help her make a princess piñata for her daughter. Here is a picture of her daughter with the papier-mâché on her face to make the face of the princess.
Here are pictures of my sister helping to make the skirt part of the dress for the princess.

here is the gooey plaster

Now it has to dry then we'll assemble.

More pictures to come...

Corsage Contest

My sister, Lorrain, got an email from Cheryl Arson, the founder of the Petaluma Craft Mafia, inviting us to take place in the EverMay Garden Center corsage contest. I could not wait. I got busy looking up corsages to get some ideas. Here are some of the my favorites that I found.

These cute little owls
Her Majesty, The Queen of England, Elizabeth II
and Bambi!

So after I gathered my ideas and found the elements I wanted I put together my corsage and here it is!

Who won the contest, you ask? My sister of course! And here is her prize winning corsage! Congratulations Lorrain!

Diapers!

I always love participating in a good giveaway, so here I am attempting my first real blog. To be honest, my sister, Lorrain has always helped me with this page. So here goes... something. Natalie's Sentiments is giving away five packages of Huggies Little Movers so if you need diapers go here to enter! I mean even if you don't have a baby I'm sure you know someone who does or you can keep them for your next baby shower gift ;)

Handmade Card Swap

The ever-talented Missy of Crafty Carnival is hosting a hand-made card swap! I couldn't resist joining in on the fun! I'll keep you posted on what I make for the swap...as well as what I eventually receive from all my swap partners!

Missy has also created a kickstarter project so that she can produce rubber stamps from her drawings!
